So here we go again. I like these small canoes. A bit of a chalange for the tumblehome but other than that a straight upbuild.
I cut up 5 cedar boards. Got them from Lowes. I picked thru the pile they had and found 5 relatively knot free boards. That job took about an hour. I'm going to try and document the build time for this boat. Haven't done that before.
The 5 boards gave about 110 strips. I'll probably get two boats out of them.
These are the building forms. I've done several canoes on them so they show the work. The blue stuff is tape from the last build. Keeps the boat from sticking to the forms. The glue seeps thru and sticks to the tape not the wood forms.
First strip. This one has to be right. It sets the stage for all the others.
Leftover from cutting up all the strips.
